I often get clients who think they just want a website and don’t understand the whole process involved before, during and after the build. It’s not just about getting a website and getting it up right away. If you want it to be successful, you might consider working with someone that does more than design, but actually includes marketing strategy.
I found this beautiful infographic by John Furness so you can see exactly what should happen with a good marketing strategy and site design process.
It all starts with the strategy, which leads into a better message, brand, site, user experience, voice, positioning, etc. Then do the website.
I only work with people who want the whole package that includes strategy first (I take you through all the steps) and then the website build. In the end, my clients have a highly functioning website that is the core of their marketing and sales. They also leave with a branding package that has helped them identify their buyers, business brand, visuals, voice, etc. This is a printed document that they can use for all their future marketing needs. They even get a plan on where to focus their marketing efforts to get the most bang for their buck.
If you need a strategic plan for branding your business and a new site, get in touch with me and we can talk about your needs.
